貓空 Maokong Tea Plantation: 3 TCM practitioners and endless pots of tea

There is a place just outside of Taipei city in the Wenshan district where waves of tea plant bend with the breeze and bathe in the warm hues of the sun. The aroma of tea processing and nature brings you back into your body and takes you away from the 7th most populated city in the world. It was a simple day, Eric, Emilio and I took off into the Maokong tea hills. As we made our way from farm to farm we settled on a nice spot to share tea, thoughts on life, medicine and relationships. As the hours passed the tea never ran dry and the delights of our host never ceased to refresh the palate and soothe our hunger. Our host made every dish with tea, be it tea oil noodles or stir-fried tea leaves and over chicken- heaven for anyone in a love affair with the tea leaf. My love for Taipei has just been taken to the next level!
